What can we help with?

This is a common question and there is often a lot of misunderstanding around what a chiropractor does. Chiropractors are primary healthcare providers concerned with issues of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system that governs it. We are trained in the diagnosis and management of back and neck pain, shoulder pain, elbow and wrist pain, hip, knee and ankle pain. From ligament and joint problems to muscle and tendon issues. Headaches, jaw pain, and neck tension as well as foot and calf issues.

More specifically, Dr. Matt is trained as a barbell instructor and a kettlebell instructor and can help assess your lifting technique in the gym as well as working on training load management when caring for sports related injuries.

The practice is equipped with a gym, including a treadmill where running assessments and real time video analysis are used in the assessment of athletes.

I get pain from training, working out or exercise, can you help?

Pain from training is fairly common. Understanding the various mechanisms for exercise induced pain can be complicated. A detailed and thorough history is important, especially when it comes to training load management. The clinic gym gives us a chance to watch you in action. Often we can use modifications to technique to reduce pain while keeping you training. If you have any questions about how to perform exercises in the gym and which exercises are best for you, Dr. Matt has you covered.
